A total eclipse of the sun

Summertime, and the singing is easy… or so we hope, with a record number of gigs and a total eclipse of the sun in the weeks ahead!

First we’re off to the wonderful Weston-super-Mare Sea Shanty and Folk Music Festival this Saturday and Sunday. We’ll be doing five sets in total – each in a different venue – and we’ll try to mix up our repertoire so there’s something new to enjoy each time.

The following Saturday 8 Aug we’ll be performing the Swansea Sea Festival 2026. You can find us at the newly refurbished amphitheatre in the Maritime Quarter on Saturday at 10:00AM

Tarragona, Spain

And the following morning we’ll be off to Tarragona in Spain for our first international tour, and a chance, hopefully, to view the total solar eclipse on Aug 12

We’ve been brushing up on our Catalan and hope to do our own take on “El Meu Avi,” a popular songwritten in 1968 that pays homage to sailors who died in the Spanish–American War.
