Back to School, Twynyrodyn

And now for something completely different… we’re going back to school, at Twynyrodyn Community School in Merthyr Tydfil.

With a group of primary school pupils we will learn more about sea shanties and their structure. We will also, look at some of the actions and repetition, as well as specific words associated with sea shanties.

The children and their teachers have already been learning some of the songs we’ll sing. We hope they will love to join in with their voices, actions and percussion. We may even try to write a new shanty together!
